Stampin’ Up reorganized their products into 3 new categories. There’s the Step-by-Step products (think kits), the Quick and Easy (these Mix & Match Cards and Envelopes and Ephemera Mix & Match Products), and Creativity Your Way (all the other stuff…stamps, dies, embellishments, etc. So no matter how deep you want to dive into card crafting, we have you covered. Stampin’ Up also recently joined with Close to My Heart and will be offering lots of scrapbooking specific items. Okay, now back to why we’re here.
The beauty of the Mix & Match Cards and Envelopes coupled with the Ephemera Packs is that you can create simple cards and build them as much as you want. Here’s what I mean…
Let’s look at the blue card above. This is simply a precut/scored card (and it has a matching envelope) and it’s paired up with just words (the Saying Something pack) using liquid glue. It takes less than 5 minutes to pop these on and have your card ready.
The card with the sailboats took it up just a slight notch by using both wording (the Saying Something pack) and some sailboats (from the Something for Everything pack.) And behind the boats is a layer from the Labels and Layers pack (or you could use a scrap of cardstock back there.). So cute and simple.
The final card with the rainbow, uses all the packs and also the coordinating stamp set called Simply Said. This photopolymer stamp set was specifically created to mix and match with these products. Just add a few stamps and you’ve taken it up a notch, but still kept it easy.
These are a great way to create cards without having to purchase lots of tools, inks, stamps, embellishments…perfect for a beginner card crafter, a family gathering, projects for the kids, or a casual activity over coffee.
These would also make a great gift!
Next time you’re needing to go to the store to purchase a $5+ card, think about making your own…it’s as simple as Mix & Match!
Happy Crafting!
