It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Sale-A-Bration and the launch of the new mini catalog. Stampin’ Up has the most amazing free products this season and I’m loving them all!!! Today we’re going to have fun with the Bee Mine Suite while we make 4…yes 4…really cute Valentine cards. Let’s jump right in!!
Sweet right! The Bee Mine Suite comes with the cutest Bee Mine DSP pack, the Bee My Valentine Photopolymer Stamp Set, the Bee Builder Punch, Sweet Sorbet Ribbon, Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers, and 8 Square pillow Boxes. It’s quite the collection!! The Bee Builder Punch can also be used throughout the year as a small and large heart and a message bubble…so you don’t even have to be making bees to use that punch! I love that!!
Here’s how we created each card!
Card A – Z-Fold Card
BASE: Real Red 5 1/2″x 8 1/2″, scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″; Fold the 2 1/8″ score line as a mountain fold and the 4 1/4″ score line as a valley fold so you have a “Z”.
OUTSIDE PANEL: DSP 1 7/8″x 5 1/4″
INSIDE PANEL: Basic White 5 1/4″x4″
EMBELLISHMENTS: Real Red paper punched with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch, 2 bees created with stamps and the Bee Builder Punch, a Petal Pink heart punched with the Bee Builder Punch, and some pink Adhesive Backed Hearts.
Fold Base. Add DSP panel to the front. Punch out Heartfelt Hexagon piece in Real Red. Adhere to card base panel. Build Bees with stamps and Bee Builder Punch and add to Hexagon with dimensionals. Punch Petal Pink heart with Bee Builder Punch, stamp Love You and add to Heartfelt Hexagon. Stamp inside panel and adhere to card base. Embellish front with Adhesive Backed Hearts.
Card B – Corner Fold Card
BASE: Daffodil Delight 5 1/2″x8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
DSP for front 5 1/4″x4″, fold top right corner out and add a dimensional under the corner to secure the fold.
INSIDE: Basic White 5 1/4″x4″; DSP 1/2″x4″ strips (x2); Bee image from DSP, cut out.
EMBELLISHMENTS: Basic White punched with Heartfelt Hexagon Punch, Sweet Sorbet ribbon bow
Fold basic card base, fold front DSP piece and add dimensional under flap to secure; adhere to card base. Stamp Heartfelt Hexagon piece and adhere with dimensionals. Add small hearts to corner. Add Sweet Sorbet Bow. Stamp inside message and add bee and 1/2″ strips.
Card C – Curtain Fold Card
BASE: Petal Pink 5 1/2″x8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
DSP FRONT: 5 1/4″x4″, with paper cutter at 2 5/8″ mark, cut down 2″ to make slit, score from corner to 2″ mark on each corner and fold back to create curtain.
INSIDE: Basic White 5 1/4″x4″, DSP 1/2″x4″ (x2)
Cut and fold base. Cut, fold and score DSP for front. Add dimensional under corner tabs to secure folds. Stamp sentiment on front right. Punch 2 hearts from Bee Builder Punch and add to right side of base with mini dimensionals. Stamp sentiment on Basic White inside panel. Adhere DSP and adhere panel to the inside of the card.
Card D – Double Point Card
BASE: Real Red 5 1/2″x4 1/4; Inside layer Basic White 5 1/4″x4″
DSP POINTS: 3″x4″, scored on the 3″ side at 1″
FRONT PANEL: Real Red 2″x4 1/4″; DSP 1 7/8″x4″
EMBELLISHMENTS: Petal Pink heart cut from Bee Builder Punch; Bee created from Bee Builder Punch; front panel corner punched with Very Best Trio Punch
Fold your DSP Points up towards the 1″ score line to create a triangle. Apply adhesive to the 1″ panel on each DSP piece and adhere to the top and bottom of your Basic White card layer. Then, Adhere that to your Real Red card base. Use your Very Best Trio Punch to punch the corner of the Real Red cardstock panel and DSP piece. Layer the DSP onto the Real Red. Adhere the top of the panel to the top triangle. Use the panel as a guide on placement of your inside sentiment and stamp your sentiment. Stamp your bee on Basic White Cardstock. I used Daffodil Delight for the body, Black for the face, stripes, and antennae, and Petal Pink for the wings. Use the masking technique to stamp the wings. Cut out your bee and use dimensionals to attach it to the front panel. Stamp Love You on the Petal Pink heart and attach underneath the bee with dimensionals. Use a black pen to draw in the bee’s hands holding the heart.
There you go! 4 sweet Valentine’s and 4 fun folded cards. Doesn’t it put you in the mood for February 14! This set will be very popular so if you like it, grab it up before it sells out.
