I’m in love at first sight! As soon as I saw the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper in the Sale-A-Bration catalog, I knew I had to earn it right away! I’m so glad I did. It’s one of the prettiest papers I’ve ever worked with. Every single sheet is gorgeous…one side is full or beautiful songbirds, and the other has the prettiest backgrounds. There are so many ways you can show it off, but I thought the Diamond Stair Step Fun Fold was the perfect way to show it off.

So pretty, right? Here’s how to create this simple fun fold.

INSTRUCTIONS:

BASE (Misty Moonlight): 5 1/2″x11″, scored at 3″, 6″, 7 1/2″, 9″ and 10″
BACK (Basic White): 2 3/4″x5 1/4″

STEPS: (Soft Sea Foam) 2 7/8″x5 3/8″, 1 3/8″x5 3/8″ and 7/8″x5 3/8″
DSP 2 3/4″x5 1/4″, 1 1/4″x5 1/4″ and 3/4″x5 1/4″

DIAMONDS: (Misty Moonlight) 3″x3″, 2 3/4″x2 3/4″ and 2 1/2″x2 1/2″
DSP (back diamond) 2 3/4″x2 3/4″, DSP (middle) 2 1/2″x2 1/2″, Basic White (front) 2 1/4″x2 1/4″

ASSEMBLY: Cut and score base, fold accordion style so it looks like the finished image shown above. Add all your step layers to the base using liquid glue or Stampin’ Seal. Stamp your images on the front and back pieces. Emboss the front piece if desired using the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder. Fussy cut your birds from the DSP and attach them to the front and back using liquid glue or dimensionals. Next, add the layers to your diamonds. Before adhering the back and middle diamond, I like to snip the bottom tip off (it won’t show anyway) so I don’t have to worry about the card being too tight in the envelope. Use dimensionals to attach the diamonds to the card, starting with the back diamond. Add your embellishments (like diamond rhinestones) and you are finished. Look how pretty!

If that isn’t enough beauty for you, check out these other samples…also made from Sale-A-Bration’s free products!!

Here’s the same fun fold made with the Watercolor Melon Stamp Set and the Heartfelt Hellos Stamp Set…all free during Sale-A-Bration. The card base is Shaded Spruce. I felt like playing with stencils so I grabbed some and created my own DSP using Shaded Spruce Ink…it looks soooo good! The watermelons are stamped in Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade. If you brush on some Clear Wink of Stella, your melons will look nice and juicy, too! Add some matching embellishments and you have a very fun card!

How fun is this card!! This card showcases the Jungle Pals Stamps from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. This stamp set is so much fun and the coordinating dies make it next level…offering dies for all the jungle critters, plus trees, grass, and lots of leaves. I can’t wait to play with this set some more. I have lots of ideas running around in my head. The card base is Pool Party and I added some DSP scraps in Pool Party as well. The animals were stamped in Memento Ink and I used my Alcohol Blend Markers to color them in. The greenery is die cut in Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist. The trees are Crumb Cake. The sentiment is the same one I used for the video from the Softly Sophisticated stamp set and I stamped it in Shaded Spruce. Add your embellishments and you’ve got a totally fun card!
