This fun fold has been all over the internet lately in the card crafting world…and that’s because it’s so darn pretty! This fold is a sure way to show off pretty paper; especially designer paper showcasing scenes.
As you can see, this fun fold is pretty inside and out. Follow along with me on my video tutorial and learn how to make your own Joy Fold. I promise you, it’s easy!! And you’re going to impress anyone who gets your masterpiece.
Here’s how to create a Joy Fold Card with scenic Designers Series Paper.
INSTRUCTIONS:
BASE: (Misty Moonlight) 7 1/4″x5 1/2″, scored at 3″; 4 1/4″x 4 1/4″, scored at 1″
INSIDE MIDDLE: (Basic White) 4″x5 1/4″
DSP (I used retired Fancy Flora): Front Left Panel is 2 3/4″x5 1/4″; Front Right Panel is 3″x4″; Optional Inside Left Panel is 2 3/4″x5 1/4″ (I used a different pattern for the inside); Optional Inside Right Panel is 3″x4″ (same pattern as inside left)
After cutting and scoring your base pieces, use your bone folder to give everything a good crease. Glue your 4 1/4″x4 1/4″ piece down on the scored tab so that it butts up against the right edge of your 7 1/4″x5 1/2″ base. Do your stamping next. I stamped directing on the 3×4 front panel piece and then also on the inside middle white piece. Once your stamping is done, adhere the middle inside white piece to your base. (It will cover up the tab where you glued down the 4 1/4″ square piece. After that, you just have to adhere the rest of the outside and inside DSP pieces. Finish your card up by adding ribbon and bling. Now gaze lovingly at your masterpiece!!
See, I told you it was easy. And if you followed along on the video it’s even easier!
