Sometimes you need a fun fold that is quick. Maybe it’s to make a stack of valentines or you want to get ahead on upcoming birthday cards – whatever the reason, this one is quick and simple, but still impresses. This adorable Friendly Seagulls stamp set is one of the many wonderful free productions offered during Sale-A-Bration and I’m in love with it. I hope you enjoy it as well. I can’t wait to my my next stack of cards using this Corner Tuck fold.

How cute are these little seagulls? They’re just as goofy as in real life when they’re stealing your food at the beach or the park or wherever they feel like hanging out. They are truly the craziest little scavengers. I feel that Stampin’ Up really captured their character in these stamps.

I used Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Basic White cardstock to create this card. The Designer Series Paper on the front comes from a free paper pack in Sale-A-Bration called Fruit Salad…not what you’d expect, right! There are some fabulous patterns in that bright, vibrant 6×6 paper pack. I stamped my images in Tuxedo Black and used Stampin’ Blends to color in the images. For the beach pebbles, I stamped in Crumb Cake and then used a sponge dauber to sponge on some more Crumb Cake.

Here’s what you need to know to create this card.

CUTTING/SCORING
BASE: (Daffodil Delight) 4 1/4″x8″, scored at 5 1/2″
CORNER: (Daffodil Delight) 2 1/4″x2 1/4″, cut diagonally in half
INSIDE & OUTSIDE PANELS: (Basic White) 3″x4″, x2
FRONT PANEL LAYER: (Real Red) 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
DSP: (Fruit Salad) 2 1/4″x4″

For this sample, I used Night of Navy, Bubble Bath and Basic White Cardstock. The Designer Series Paper is Bright & Beautiful. I stamped in Night of Navy, Berry Burst and Bubble Bath. I sequenced the cupcakes so they mimicked the stripes on the paper. The embellishments are Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins. This card comes together so quickly!

This final card came together by accident. I love when that happens. I was looking at the Storybook Friends Suite and noticed that the duck scene in the DSP was the exact measurement of the front panel of the card! What!! All I did to create this card was cut that out and adhere it to Crumb Cake card stock. The base is Lost Lagoon to match the scene on the front. I also used the coordinating Timeless Plaid DSP in the same Lost Lagoon shade to pull it all together. The only stamping I did on this card was to add “Happy Spring” to the front. Everything else is paper and embellishments. By the way, the embellishments are Antique Pearls and the really cool Gold Open Weave Trim. I’m hoping Stampin’ Up will offer that Open Weave Trim in more colors because I love how versatile and easy to use it is.

I hope you love these 3 cards as much as I do. I can’t wait to sit down and make more. As a matter of fact, that’s what I’m going to do after I hit “save”!!

Have a great rest of your week and please do a little crafting soon!!
