Ooh la la, I love the Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper…it’s part of a current online exclusive suite of products. So, when I decided to share this fold with you I also knew I needed to use the gorgeous Marbled Elegance DSP. It’s so pretty with all the pinks, reds and metallic gold swirls. The stamp set is beautiful as well and can be used long after Valentines Day has passed…like for weddings, anniversaries and even birthdays. The coordinating dies are magnificent. I think you’ll really enjoy this one!!

Isn’t she gorgeous? I’m in love with the marbling in the paper and the dies are so much fun. Here’s a tip for you…when cutting DSP with dies, you can cut 2-3 sheets at once so you get triple the die cuts with each swipe. I keep any extra pieces in the stamp box for the next time I need some.

I used Melon Mambo for the card base and front panel. I used Flirty Flamingo for the center panel – to pull in the Flirty Flamingo streaks in the DSP. The 2 slim panels are Basic White embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I stamped in Melon Mambo and finished my card off with Metallic Gold Heart Embellishments. This card makes me smile!

Here are all the cutting and scoring instructions for you:

CUTTING/SCORING
BASE: (Melon Mambo) 5 1/2″x8 1/2″, score on the long side at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
EMBOSSED PANELS: (Basic White) 1 7/8″ (x2)
DSP FOR INSIDE: (Marbled Elegance) 4″x 5 1/4″
POP OUT MECHANISM: (Melon Mambo) 2 1/4″x3″, score at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, and 2 1/4″
FRONT PANEL: (Melon Mambo) 2 3/4″x4″; (Basic White) 2 1/2″x3 3/4″
CENTER PANEL: (Flirty Flamingo) 3″x4 1/4″; (Basic White) 2 1/2″x3 3/4″

**OPTIONAL If you want to add some DSP to the bottom of the front panel, I cut mine on Sample 2 and 3 at 2 1/2″x 1 3/4″

On this sample, I created a very similar card, but used Real Red for the base to match a different pattern of DSP. Do you see my error??? I accidentally swapped the front and center panels…but it still worked perfectly. The front panel just covered up the center panel so a border didn’t show. I also added a strip of DSP to the front of this card.

I love how this card came out. I used the Country Flowers Stamps and coordinating dies and paired them with the Country Woods DSP. The base is Early Espresso and the panels are Pool Party…those color go so nicely together. I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the flowers and flower pot. I also added some Pool Party satin ribbon.

This last card came out so nice. I really just went with a tonal feel. The base is Pecan Pie and layered Crumb Cake as well. For the inside panel, I stamped in Pecan Pie on Basic White cardstock using the Sketched Plaid Cling Stamp. Next time I’m going to use my Stampin’ Blends to color in some of the plaid areas. That would be fun!! I stamped the leaves from Caring Leaves in Pecan Pie because I wanted to show you how well this stamp set can carry throughout the year. It’s not just for Fall. I’m going to make these in green as well. For the front tag, I used a die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I also added some Pecan Pie Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots.

Enjoy this fold…it’s a good one! I love it. Happy Crafting!!
