I’m really in love with this simple, but impressive looking card. This fold is easy and works for any of your amazing 12×12 Designer Series Papers. It’s a great way to show off those amazing 2-sided beauties. The person lucky enough to receive your masterpiece is going to be quite impressed! I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.

I love making these cards. This particular card was dreamt up for my baby brother as a birthday card. I know he’s going to love it. He’s very special to me. I used the fabulous Take to the Sky Suite of products to create it. Just a few simple cuts and scores and some layers and you’ve got beautiful card. Stampin’ Up has the very best paper and this card shows off both sides of that DSP so you don’t get that sadness over covering up a “pretty side”. Or is that just a “me-problem”???

I stamped in Copper Clay. I also used Memento Ink on the plane and colored them in with Copper Clay and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. My cardstock is also Copper Clay. You have to love the color coordination that is so simple with these products.

Here’s what you need to know to create this card.

CUTTING/SCORING
BASE: (Copper Clay) 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″; (INSIDE) 3 3/4″x5″; (INSIDE) 2 1/2″x 2 1/2″
DSP: (Take to the Sky) 6 3/4″x 8″, with the 6 3/4″ at the top and the front pattern face down, score at 2 3/4″. Then, rotate counter-clockwise and score again at 2 3/4″. Then fold as shown in video.
DSP LAYERS: 2 1/4″x 2 1/4″; 2 1/2″x2 1/2″
CARDSTOCK FRONT: (Basic White) 2 3/4″x 4 1/4″; Scrap strip around 1/8″ thick
BASIC WHITE LAYERS: (FRONT) 2 1/2″ x 4″; (INSIDE) 3 1/2″x4 3/4″

I used the Grow With Love Stamps and the Everyday Happiness 12×12 DSP to create this card. I layered with Lost Lagoon and Wild Wheat. I used Wild Wheat ink to stamp in. This paper perfectly complimented the earthiness of the stamped images. I really appreciate Stampin’ Ups coordination of ribbon with ink colors as well. It pulls everything together so nicely.

This card is so pretty. I used the Country Birdhouse stamps and dies and the Country Lace and Country Woods 12×12 DSP. Used Misty Moonlight and Petal Pink cardstock for the layers. I created a larger front panel to accommodate the size of the birdhouse – so easy to do. The hardest part of this card is deciding who to send it to!!

Try this easy fold out. It’s a great one for its ease and versatility. I’ve made so many different designs and love every single one.
