It’s Fall and the means the new Mini Catalog is out! Stampin’ Up added so many beautiful holiday products….like this adorable Playful Ghosts Stamp Set. I am having so much fun with it. In my video, I showed you that you probably have a lot of Designer Series Paper that you can “turn into” Halloween DSP! Stampin’ Up did not offer a Halloween DSP paper pack option this time, however there are many options in their existing paper offerings that work perfectly! I hope you love these playful little ghosts!

Look how cute this little ghost is flying over my pumpkin patch. The base of this cad is Gorgeous Grape and I layered on some scraps from the Zany Zoo Designer Series Paper I had left from last year’s catalog. It’s perfect for Halloween themed cards! I colored the pumpkins with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. And I used Highlander Heather Stampin’ Blends for the ghost’s cape and hat. I used Pecan Pie to color the broom and I also added Clear Wink of Stella to the bats and to the ghost for some extra shimmer. I love my Wink of Stella!! Here’s how to create this card.

BASE
MAIN BASE (Gorgeous Grape): 11″x5 1/2″, scored at 1 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 5 1/4″, and 7″
SMALL CARD (Gorgeous Grape): 3″x6″, scored at 3″

BASIC WHITE LAYERS: 2 3/4″x2 3/4″ (x2)
BASIC WHITE INSIDE LAYER: 3 3/4″x51/4″

DSP LAYERS: Pick 2 Designs and cut 2 of each design at 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ (4 pieces total)

ASSEMBLY: Cut, score and fold card base and small card pieces. Glue DSP pieces to the card base. Stamp and color your white cardstock. Stamp your flying witch ghost on scrap cardstock, color and fussy cut. Add your witch ghost with either dimensionals or with a Wobble like I did. (You can find the link to the Wobbles on my list of Craft Room Must Haves.). Glue the two white squares to the small card and the inside layer to the inside of the card. Finally, add the small card to the card base, taking care to keep the adhesive to the 3/4 section on the ends of the small card. Add some extra embellishments and you have the cutest Halloween card!

I switched up this sample creating the base with Pumpkin Pie cardstock and using Designer Series Paper from the Full of Life 6×6 DSP pack. I created a little tag for “Boo!” and popped the little pumpkin ghost on with dimensionals.

On this last sample, I used a Basic Black card base and layered paper from the 2024-2026 In Color 6×6 Designer Series Paper. I colored the Dracula Ghost and Witch Ghost with Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends to match the DSP. Super simple, but very cute! I can’t wait to send these to my family and friends!! I’ll be making a bunch more !

Although it feels crazy that Fall is here, I’m super glad to start playing with all my new holiday stamps, dies and papers!! Happy Crafting!
