I’ve recently added quite a bit of Designer Series Paper to my craft stash! I can’t help myself…that new Mini Catalog and stupendous Sale-A-Bration catalog are truly one of the best I’ve seen. I want it allllll!!! Anyways, this simple Triple Fold Card is a great way to show off that pretty paper. And, I’m going to show you two different ways to fold the card base to get to that wonderful triple fold. Same base; different score lines…that’s it! So let’s get the party started!!

In this first card, I decided to show off the vibrant and fun Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper that is absolutely free in the current Sale-A-Bration catalog (available until 2/29/24.) It’s so much fun. The paper has some great designs and you can even fussy cut the tools to use as embellishments like I did on the belly band. Here’s how I create this card.

CUTTING/SCORING:
BASE (Real Red): 5 1/2″x 11″, scored at 1 1/4″, 5 1/2″ and 9 1/4″
BELLY BAND (Real Red): 1 1/4″ x 10″ (you can also just do 1″ x 11″)
DSP: 1″ x 5 1/2″ (x2), 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″, and 4″ x 5 1/4″
BASIC WHITE: 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
EXTRAS: Embellishments for Belly Band

ASSEMBLY: Fold your score lines so that the card closes like a normal card, but the two narrow parts both fold the same direction to the right to show off the triple sections like illustrated in the first photo. Match up your DSP pieces so you know which panels they fit on and adhere them. Stamp your white piece and add that to the large panel on the right. For the belly band, close your card and wrap the band around the card loosely so it will slide off and on easily. Glue the ends and test the band. Punch out a scrap of Basic White cardstock with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch and stamp it. Add your pieces that you fussy cut from the Trusty Toolbox DSP. Add embellishments and you’re all set to send to someone special!

It’s always fun to know multiple ways to create a card so here’s another way to create a triple fold card. When folded it almost looks. identical. To create this card we used products from the gorgeous Perennial Lavender Suite of products from the current Mini Catalog. These are available through the end of April or while supplies last. It’s been super popular so don’t wait it you love these stamps and accessories.

Here’s how to create this version of the Triple Fold.

CUTTING/SCORING:
BASE (Crumb Cake): 5 1/2″ x 11″, scored at 1 3/16″, 4″, and 6 3/4″
DSP (Perennial Lavender): 4″ x 5 1/4″, 2 1/2″x 5 1/4″, 1″ x 5 1/4″
BASIC WHITE: 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
BELLY BAND (Crumb Cake): 1″ x 11″
EXTRAS: Die cut pieces from the Painted Lavender bundle); Die cut rectangle from the Perennial Postage Dies, embellishments such as the Purple Fine Glimmer Gems, Dimensionals

ASSEMBLY:
Fold your Base accordion style. Match up the DSP and adhere it to the matching panels. Stamp your Basic White piece and adhere it to the coordinating panel. Wrap your belly band piece around your card and adhere the ends together. Remember not to make it too tight so it slides easily. Die cut your rectangle. Stamp and die cut your lavender plant pieces and your message. (Or just fussy cut your message like I did). Add all the pieces to the front of your belly band. Add your embellishments. That’s it. So pretty, right!

Here are two more examples. As you can see, all did was change up my DSP and stamps. Let that pretty paper do the work for you!!

The first card uses the free Most Adored DSP from Sale-A-Bration. It’s stunning paper….one side has gold embossing and the other has the prettiest patterns. I really enjoy this paper. I paired this card with Crumb Cake card stock, Real Red ink and stamped it with the stamps from Bee My Valentine and Hooray for Surprises stamp sets.

The second card shows off the free Softly Stippled DSP from Sale-A-Bration…another pretty pack of paper! The card base is Wild Wheat and I stamped with the Softly Sophisticated stamps in Wild Wheat and Calypso Coral inks.

Don’t forget to check out all the great products in the current mini catalog and the outstanding variety of FREE products in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Happy Crafting!!
